Baccarat is a game of chance, but you can reduce you odds of loss by setting limits. Decide on an amount that will allow for spending and once it has been reached, leave the table.
Banker and Player hands are each dealt two cards and, whichever hand comes closest to nine wins. All pips (the dots on the cards) are added up; Tens, Jacks, Queens, Kings count as zeroes while Aces count as ones.

Players can place bets on Tie games as they feature the lowest house edge but offer minimal payout. When betting this way, be sure to stick within your budget and do not bet more than you can afford to lose.
The D’Alembert betting system is an effective baccarat strategy that involves increasing your bet after each win and decreasing it after every loss. If implemented with discipline, this strategy can prove profitable.
Variations

When handling cards for themselves it is important not to bend, crease or crumple them-although touching is acceptable by dealers only!

Hands belonging to both player and banker are counted, and whichever hand totals closest to 9 without exceeding it without going over is declared the winner. In case of a tie between two hands, additional cards will be drawn until one emerges as victor.
One popular baccarat winning strategy is the Labouchere System, also referred to as Split Martingale. This betting system follows a Fibonacci sequence where each number represents the sum of two preceding numbers; when you lose, your bet size increases by one number; but after every win it reduces back by two numbers. It provides more conservative strategy than Martingale!
